[English] "시키는 대로 하다" / "하라는 대로 하다" / "배운 대로 하다" / "늘 하던대로 하다" 표현법

우선 “설명대로 하다” 라는 말을 영어로 표현하는 방법은 follow the instructions 라고 하면 된다.
“~에 나온대로 하다” 라는 표현을 하는 방법은 do what it says 를 통해 다양하게 표현이 가능하다.

난 메뉴얼 설명대로 했어.
I just followed the instructions in the manual.

그냥 레시피대로 했어.
I just followed the recipe.

표지에 뭐라고 써있어?
What does it say on the cover?

그냥 설명서에 나와 있는 대로만 했어.
I did what it says in the manual.

설명서에 나온 순서대로 했어. (공식적인 자리에서 표현)
I did it according to the manual.
I did it according to the instructions in the manual.

시키는 대로 하다

위 예문에서 나온 것 처럼 do what it says를 응용해서 표현이 가능하다.

난 걔가 시킨 대로 했어.
I did exactly what he said.

난 너가 시킨 대로 했어.
I did exactly what you told me (to).
I followed your instructions.

상사가 나한테 한 지시대로 했어.
I followed the instructions that my boss gave me.

너가 나한테 말한대로 했어.
I followed the instructions that you gave me.

걔가 나한테 말한대로 했어. (공식적인 자리에서 표현)
I did it according to what she said.

Just remember what you learned / just remember what I taught you 이러한 표현으로 배우거나 가르쳐 준 것을 표현 할 때 쓸 수 있다.

Do what I have always done 이라는 문장으로 내가 항상 해오던 것을 말할 때 쓸 수 있다.

난 늘 하던 대로 했어.
I did what I’d (I had) always done.

난 늘 하는 대로 했어.
I did what I always do.

난 그냥 지난 2주 동안 해왔던 대로 할게.
I’ll just do what I’ve done for the last 2 weeks.
I’ll just do what I’ve been doing for the last 2 weeks. (지금도 계속 하고 있는 경우)

난 그냥 지금까지 해왔던 대로 할게.
I’ll just do what I’ve been doing up to now.

그냥 원래 계획대로 하자.
Let’s just do what we were originally planning (going) to do.
Let’s just stick to our original plan.
(stick to: 원래 것을 유지하다)

넌 그냥 하던 대로만 하면 돼.
You just need to do what you’ve always done.

나 그냥 하던 대로 할게.
I’ll just do what I’ve always done.
