어떤 선택을 하더라도
“어떤 선택을 하더라도”라는 표현을 영어로 하는데는 다양한 방법이 존재한다.
- Whatever you choose (to do)
- Whatever you decide (to do)
- No matter what you (decide to) do
- Regardless of what you decide to do (regardless of your decision)
Example
너가 어떤 결정을 해도 반대하는 사람은 항상 있을거야.
Regardless of your decision there will always be people who disagree with you.
네 아이들이 어떤 결정을 해도, 걔네들은 어떤 것도 할 수 없어.
Regardless of your children’s decision they can’t do anything.
내가 어떤 결정을 해도 난 아내 말을 들어야 돼.
Regardless of my decision I have to follow my wife’s instruction.

아무리 노력해도
“No matter how hard you try”라는 말은 “아무리 노력을 해도” 라는 의미를 나타낸다.
Example
근데 괜찮아, 왜냐하면 아무리 노력을 해도 항상 다 만족시킬 수 없거든.
But that’s OK, because no matter how hard you try you can’t always make everybody happy.
내가 아무리 노력을 해도 아이를 가르치는 것은 정말 힘든 일이야.
No matter how hard I try, it’s really hard to teach children.
아무리 노력해도 재능을 가진 사람을 넘는 것은 어려워.

어쩔수없이 (싫어도)
“어쩔 수 없이” 또는 “싫어도”라는 표현을 하는 대표적인 방법은 “whether you like it or not”이 있다.
Example
그리고 그건 너가 싫더라도 받아들일 수 있어야 하는 부분이야.
And that is something you have to be able to accept whether you like it or not.
(have to be able to V: ~할 수 있어야 한다)
아이들은 싫더라도 백신을 맞아야 해.
Children should be vaccinated whether they like it or not.
