[English] 상관 있다 / 상관 없다 표현방법

“상관 없어요” 라는 말을 표현할 때는 다양한 방법이 존재한다.

1. 연관성에 대해 말을 하는 상관

It (doesn’t) matter.

어떤 사건에 대해 중요한지 아니면 중요하지 않은지를 말할 때 사용한다.

상관 없어요~ (연관이 없어요)
It doesn’t matter.
No, I don’t think it matters. (조금 더 조심스러운 느낌)

걔가 뭐라하든 나 상관 안해.
It doesn’t matter to me what he says.
I don’t care what he says.

have something (nothing) to do with

위 표현은 A가 B에게 영향을 주는지 안주는지를 말한다. be related to S/T 상관은 직접적인 연관성을 말을 하며, 아래의 의미는 영향을 주는지에 대한 상관이다.

A는 B에 상관이 있어.
A has something to do with B.

이건 너랑 아무 상관이 없는거야.
This has nothing to do with you.

이거 악화되는 경제 때문이야.
It has something to do with the worsening economy.
It has a lot to do with the worsening economy. (영향이 클 때)

좀 더 공식적인 의미를 나타낼 때 concern이란 단어를 사용한다.

This doesn’t concern you.
