곧 큰 명절이 와.

우리나라에선 “고향에 내려가다” 라는 말을 많이 쓴다. 이를 위한 표현은 다음과 같다.

I’m going to go (and) see my parents during the Chuseok holidays.
나 추석에 부모님 뵈러 갈거야.

Get together

“모이다” 라는 뜻

My family and my relatives are going to get together.
우리 가족이랑 친척들은 모일꺼야.

Everyone is going to get together at my uncle’s place in Busan.
모두 부산에 있는 삼촌네에서 모일꺼야.

“자고 오다”라는 뜻

I slept over at my friend’s place last night.
나 친구네서 저번밤에 자고 왔어.

I’m going to sleep over at my uncle’s place during the Chuseok holidays.
나 삼촌네에서 추석에 자고 올꺼야.

“몸살 걸리다”라는 뜻
tired / exhausted 는 “너무 피곤하다”라는 의미로 사용됨.

After we came back, she got sick.
우리 돌아오고서 걔 몸살 걸렸어.
