Go With

Go with은 우리가 평소에 쓰는 “A로 가자”와 같이 어떤 것을 선택할 때 쓰는 의미로 사용될 수 있다.

나 그냥 경차로 할까봐.
I think I’m just going to go with a compact car.

난 걔 의견 좋아, 그걸로 가자.
I like his idea, let’s go with that.

“여러모로”라는 표현을 위해서 “in many ways”라는 구문을 사용하면 된다.

여러모로 불편할 수도 있다는 것은 아는데
I understand that it can be inconvenient in many ways

여러모로 우리는 많은 걸 기대했어.
In many ways we expected as much.

여러모로 나는 오늘 너무 바빴어.
In many ways, I was so busy today.

여러모로 아이를 돌보는건 너무 어려운거 당연하잖아.
It’s a given it’s so hard to take care of a baby in many ways.

완벽한 차라는 것은 없다.
There is no such thing as a perfect car.

“어느정도” 는 문맥에 따라 달라질 수 있지만 “on some levels”로 나타낼 수 있다.

뭘로 하든간에, 어느정도의 단점은 감수해야 될거야.
Whatever I go with, I’m going to have to make compromises on some levels.
(감수하다, 타협하다: make compromises)

너가 저 물건을 사고싶다면 어느정도의 돈은 지불해야 될거야.
If you want to buy that stuff, you’re going to have to pay some money on some levels.

너가 아이를 갖게 되면 어느정도의 희생은 해야돼는건 확실해.
I’m sure if you have a child, you need to sacrifice on some levels.

“어떻게 보면”을 표현하기 위해서 “in some ways”라는 구문을 쓰면 된다.

게다가 지금은 돈도 생각해야 돼서, 어떻게 보면 그게 가장 현명한 선택이야.
Besides, I have to think about money at the moment. So in some ways, that’s the smartest option.

어떻게 보면 너가 대학교를 입학한게 최고의 선택이였어.
In some ways, it was the best choice for you to enter an university.
