위 뜻처럼 어떤 의도가 아니였다는 표현을 할 때 사용할 수 있다.

It’s not that he is indifferent it’s just that he is busy when he is at work.

내가 안하는게 아니라 못하는거야.
It’s not that I don’t, it’s just that I can’t.

내가 아팠던게 아니라 화장을 안했던거야.
It’s not that I was sick, it’s just that I didn’t put on makeup.
